Facilities
Located in a beautiful semi-rural environment on the fringes of Newport, SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Primary School has been established for over 150 years. Our school building, completed in June 2006 and opened in September 2006, houses one Reception, two Key Stage 1 and four Key Stage 2 classrooms together with cloakrooms, SEN/Library areas, staff room, reception area, hall, kitchen, caretaker’s, administrator’s and head’s offices.
There is a separate soft play area, accessed from two classrooms, for Reception and Year 1 pupils. The hall is used for assemblies, music lessons, P.E. and is the dining area.
Wheelchair access, a hearing loop induction system and provision for the visually impaired have been incorporated into the building.
There are extensive grounds, including a large hard surface play area, a playing field, adventure playground and a small conservation area with a pond. A cycle shelter has also been provided. We have amazing views of Chetwynd Deer Park and fields.
We are also very fortunate to have easy access to the absolutely stunning Forest School area in Chetwynd Deer Park across the road, which we utilise weekly and sometimes more often.
