The government in England has provided funding for PE and Sports in schools for some years now.  This funding has been jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary schools to spend on improving the quality of physical education and sport for all their children.

Funding for schools is calculated by the number of primary-aged pupils (between the ages of 5 and 11.)
