The Mini Vinnies are quite literally mini St. Vincent de Paul’s.
Mini Vinnies are 7 to 11 year olds based in schools and parishes across England and Wales, and in several other countries across the world.
They come together to form a part of the St. Vincent de Paul Society England and Wales, a voluntary organisation dedicated to tackling poverty in all its forms. Mini Vinnies meet to pray, discuss and support however they can to help make a difference in their communities.
Deacon David Hill and Mrs Pearson support our Mini Vinnie group in school, which has over 20 members who help support other people.

During the past academic year the Mini Vinnies have supported a range of fundraising activities. In the spring term, they held a cake sale to raise money to support people in Ukraine. The cake sale raised £1000 which was given to CAFOD Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal. The children also held a PJs day raising £205 towards the Baby Feeding Station in Sudan.
This year the Mini Vinnies have been making their own sets of Rosary Beads they sold them to raise money to donate to a cancer research charity.
Mini Vinnies decided on a community based project and went to sing at Newport Cottage Care Centre.
From the money we raised on pyjama day, as a school we have been able to sponsor 12 children in India, they are now able to attend school for a whole year. This is a wonderful achievement and shows such compassion and generosity from the whole school community.
