Church

We have a strong connection with SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church in Newport.

We try to visit the Church at least once a year, usually to celebrate our school feast: The Feast of SS Peter and Paul which is 29th June.  Father Anthony and Deacon David usually explain the different features of the church and let us explore the stain glass windows.  Both Fr Anthony and Deacon David also visit school a number of times during the year to celebrate Masses and special feast days, assemblies and liturgies.

Fr Lee is currently looking after the Parish of SS Peter and Paul in Newport, he has been in to visit the children and talk about the sacrament of Baptism.

We also utilise the Church Hall which used to be the old school building before we relocated to Deer Park Drive.  We enjoy using this space to create prayer trails; the children enjoy exploring the focus for the station, reading the stories, reflections and prayers and taking part in the activities.  The photos below show a prayer trail that was created by our RE committee alongside our RE lead teacher Mrs Hughes-Harvey.
