Dear Parents and Carers,
As we set into our last couple of weeks, it feels strange and surreal that it’s been a year already and your little ones start moving up again. It really has flown by, with just a minor lockdown in the middle to work through.
Last year, we were unable to return your child’s books due to the remote learning and covid restrictions, however we know that it is important to many of you that you did eventually get to keep the books.
over the next week, we will be dismantling the huge walls of books we have for your children. We aim to return all previous year books that we have.
For the current year (2020-2021) we have to keep a selection of books as evidence and we will inform you if your child has been selected. For these children, we will return their books at the end of next academic year (July 2022).
We will stagger the return of the books for each class over the latter part of next week and ask that each child brings in bag for their books by next Tuesday so we can start to sort them. Due to the amount of books being returned, a plastic bag is just not going to cut it, so we suggest that you send a bag for life.
If you have a child that was in Year 6 last year, we will also endeavour to return their books to you by sending home with their siblings
If you do not want your child’s books returning home, please contact your class teacher as soon as possible.
Many thanks for all the continued support!
